PAPER SUMMARY

Organisations are struggling to overcome groupthink, causing a lack of innovation and engagement.

Psychological safety is lacking, preventing people speaking up, challenging, and surfacing their great ideas. Many are struggling with this. Many are scared. The art of contradiction is lost.
How can we manage and avoid risk if we dare not speak up? How can we unleash awesomeness if are people are not engaged? How can we challenge if nobody is listening? The ability to challenge, to dissent, and be contrarian is a rarity in today’s world of corporate fear, fragile egos, and faux harmony. Being nice doesn’t mean you can’t challenge, have good discourse and healthy conflict. Neither does being scared. But sadly, the art of contradiction is long lost.

Come along and learn how you can mitigate groupthink, enable psychological safety, and create a culture that enables the core capability of your organisation to be unleashed – its people!
