Be Respectful, Be Professional, Be Awesome!
Scrum Day London is all about creating a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone. Our volunteers play a vital role in making that happen! To ensure a smooth and positive experience for all, we kindly ask our volunteers to follow these guidelines:
Respect & Courtesy:
- Treat everyone with respect, regardless of background, experience, or beliefs.
- Be friendly and helpful to attendees, speakers, sponsors, and fellow volunteers.
- Maintain a professional demeanour throughout the event.
- Wear your Scrum Day London volunteer badge proudly!
Confidentiality is Key:
- Any information you learn about attendees, speakers, sponsors, or the event itself should be kept confidential.
- Social media is a no-go zone for confidential info or attendee photos (without permission).
Safety First:
- Report any suspicious activity or safety concerns to a Scrum Day London staff member immediately.
- Familiarize yourself with the event layout and emergency exits.
- Follow all safety regulations and instructions provided by staff.
Sharing is Caring (But Keep it Professional):
- Feel free to share your volunteer experience on social media using #ScrumDayLondonVolunteer.
- Refrain from posting confidential info or attendee photos (without permission).
- Maintain a positive and professional image of Scrum Day London online.
Be a Rock Star Volunteer:
- Arrive on time and prepared for your assigned tasks in your designated volunteer area.
- Be attentive, proactive, and helpful to attendees and staff.
- Follow instructions and complete your tasks efficiently.
- If you have any questions or concerns, communicate them to the Volunteer Coordinator immediately.
Consequences:
Violations of this code of conduct may result in warnings, dismissal from volunteer duties, or even removal from the event at the discretion of Scrum Day London organisers.
